Every villa is stunning, every stay is flawless, and somehow nobody ever mentions the 90 minute transfer from the airport or the USD 60 breakfast that wasn't worth it. This site exists because we wanted the other kind of review: the one a well travelled friend gives you over drinks.

We cover Bali's luxury hotels and resorts one property at a time. Each review looks at the arrival, the rooms, breakfast, and service, and ends with a scorecard out of 10. When something is great, we say so and back it up with specifics. When something sucks, we say that too.
